Applied Mechanics Education Committee: Call for Papers

The ASME Applied Mecahnics Division's Education Committee requests you to consider participating in the following planned paper sessions at the ASME 2006 International Congress in Chicago, USA, from November 4-10, 2006.

The proposed paper session topics are:

- INNOVATIONS IN MECHANICS OF MATERIALS
- BRIDGING MECHANICS OF MATERIALS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE
- APPLICATION OF VIRTUAL LABS IN MECHANICS OF MATERIALS

The sessions are being jointly organized by Sanjeev K. Khanna, Univ. of Missouri – Columbia, and Joseph Rencis, University of Arkansas. These sessions are sponsored by the Applied Mechanics Division and the ME Education committee.

At this time you are requested to submit an abstract of one page to me at khannas@missouri.edu or Joseph Rencis at jjrencis@uark.edu

Appreciate your response by February 28, 2006.

You will have the option of submitting a full paper later or doing a presentation only in which case the abstract only will be published in the proceedings.

Please forward the information to anyone you feel may be interested in these topics.
